Founders Hall has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for items being thrown out of windows. This can be a serious and potential lethal hazard to anyone in the courtyard who may be standing below the windows. This morning, glass bottles were found by the bike rack that were obviously dropped from one of the windows; even from a low floor, this can be a very serious danger.
Public safety will be reviewing videotape to find these particular culprits, but regardless of who did what, we must remember to make Founders a place of respect and maturity. Pouring honey down a stairwell, vandalizing a bulletin board, and throwing items out of your window is a blatant disrespect to your fellow residents, your RAs, and your building staff who have done their best to make your experience at Founders a great one.
We know that this behavior is not indicative of the Founders community as a whole. Thank you to everyone who has made this place a great one to live for the past year, and please encourage your fellow residents to continue making Founders a place of mutual respect and to end on a positive note.
