Ah, Fall. The air gets crisp, the leaves start to turn colors, and apples start falling from trees (even despite this warm weather!). Why not catch a few of those apples? That’s right, this Friday October 14th from 10AM – 4/5PM Founders will join Brittany, Third North, Weinstein, Rubin, and Hayden for our 4th Annual Apple Picking Excursion! We will be leaving from the lobby AT 10AM and returning around 4/5pm with lots of apples in hand! Space is limited so sign up in the Resource Center ASAP with your $10 co-pay and sign on to all of the delights of fall and apples!

TOUR OF LITTLE MEXICO
Little Mexico in Jackson Heights, Queens, has become the pre-eminent Mexican neighborhood in the United States. Dina Leor, the owner of one of the best Mexican arts and crafts stores on the Eastern seaboard, has been leading walking tours of this vibrant enclave for a number of years and is by now fully acquainted with many of the merchants and proprietors who will give you a real glimpse into the world that Mexicans of modest means cherish and value. Enjoy food, tastings, music, and more! Please bring a valid MetroCard on the day of the trip.
