Looking for something awesome to do this weekend around Founders, NYU, or NYC? Check out the Founders Hall weekend guide!
Join us THIS Friday, October 21st, from 7PM-9PM, in the Kimmel Center, Room 802 for the Multiple Identity Film Series!
We will be screening To Be Heard, the story of three teens from the South Bronx whose struggle to change their lives begins when they start to write poetry. As writing and reciting become vehicles for their expressions of love, friendship, frustration, and hope, these three youngsters emerge as accomplished self-aware artists, who use their creativity to alter their circumstances. The Director and Producer, Roland Legiardi-Laura, will lead the post-screening discussion.
In partnership with H2O Newsreel and co-sponsored by the Hip-Hop & Pedagogy Initiative. Everyone is welcome. RSVP at cmep@nyu.edu.
