Adventures in Tribeca!

TriBeCa is a tony place. The name is an acronym derived from the ‘Triangle Below Canal’. It was once an industrial area, and now it is not. Factories and warehouses made way, as they did for so many places in our city, for upscale residential buildings. And in those buildings are celebrities. And the presence of those celebrities has made the neighborhood one of the city’s (and presumably the state’s, nation’s…hitherto known galaxy’s) most glamorous. TriBeCa is pricey, but one can enjoy an excursion there without breaking the bank, if one were to look around a bit beforehand and see what’s what.
The area is probably most famous these days for the TriBeCa film festival, the Robert DeNiro creation that helped revitalize the area in the after the September Eleven tragedies.
Duane Park, the Washington Market Park, the Hudson River park, y mucho mas. TriBeCa beckons. Go forth.
