Come and join other first year students at NYU in one of the most memorable and exciting programs offered all year! Camping by the FYRE is a camping trip specifically designed for first year students! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to meet other students from other halls, bond over some ‘smores and the outdoors, and have an overall great time!
The following information should answer some of your questions: The camping trip will take place from October 12th-October 13th. There is a required $5 co-pay that needs to be paid during a mandatory information session that everyone who wants to go must attend (there multiple informational sessions to choose from). All equipment and food will be provided, we are going to Harriman State Park (New York State), Beaverpond Campground, the stars are beautiful, there is a lake (not for swimming but for hanging out at), we’ll be going on an easy/moderate hike, and roasting delicious foods.
For complete information, please access this application link. This link provides information about the information sessions, in addition to your tenting preferences.
If you have any other questions about Camping by the FYRE, please come down to the Founders Hall Resource Center and we will be happy to help you. Again, this sounds like a fantastic opportunity that everyone should take part in!
