For those who might be less familiar, RuPaul’s Drag Race is a reality competition show involving 16 Drag Queens who compete each week to become America’s next Drag Superstar!
Join Komal and Sam at 8PM in the 4TH floor lounge for a discussion and screening of the show! We will talk about issues and limitations of LGBT representation in pop culture, watch some fierce queens walk the runway, and enjoy a lovely dinner of pizza and wings. Come out and join! A global religious leader, philosopher, author and moral voice for our time, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks served as Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth between September 1991 and September 2013, only the sixth incumbent since the role was formalized in 1845.
Described by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales as “a light unto this nation”, Rabbi Sacks is a frequent contributor to radio, television and the press both in Britain and around the world.
Rabbi Sacks currently serves as the Ingeborg H. and Ira Leon Rennert University Professor at New York University and the Kressel and Efrat Family University Professor of Jewish Thought at Yeshiva University.

Founders! Our exploration floors under the guidance of RAs Emily (5) Jenny (13) and Faulkner (18) have put together a very creative and important program called the Hunger Banquet, which will be held on Friday 12/6 at 6:30pm in the 4th floor lounge! This program is designed to raise awareness of global hunger related issues including the Global Food Crisis, food access disparity over income differences, and malnutrition. This program is free for residents to attend. Please consider checking out this important program!
Transfer Recognition Day is a time when the NYU Community recognizes the valuable contributions from students who have transferred into the University from other academic institutions! Transfer Recognition Day is put on by the Transfer & Transitioning Student Association (TTSA) and is being held this coming Thursday, 12/5. It will be a series of events meant to recognize and bring attention to NYU transfers on campus. It is a great day and it is open to the entire NYU student body.
It’s back! The annual Fall Semester Midnight Breakfast is held every year through NYU Dining during the week of finals! This is a chance to grab food on a late night finals study break! Come out to both Weinstein and/or Palladium for a chance to de-compress, chill, and interact with building pro-staff! (who will be graciously working the event!) The fall Midnight Breakfast is Wednesday, December 11 from 1100pm – 1230am in both Palladium and Weinstein dining halls. Join the Facebook event here.
